1612.20 BERLIN

I was about to write a post about the lead up to Christmas (and I still might) but then suddenly last night things were horrorfyingly put into perspective.

A lorry was driven into a packed Christmas market and suddenly for all those victims and their families the festive season will never be the same again. A life is the greatest most precious thing that exists and someone who takes them away in this manner and I don't care for what political or religious cause is just the definition of evil.

There will be empty seats around the dinner table this Christmas time but I believe it would be wrong for us all to lament over their loss. Instead enjoy your festive period but at some point raise your glass to those that didn't make it to that table. Terrorism only wins when they change us.
