The most important person in my life hits a milestone birthday this week and we celebrate with a special trip to our special place.
Of course, my birthday immediately proceeds hers and I celebrated it with a pint of Cwrw in the Seahorse Inn.
But this isn't about my birthday - Morticia is fifty (she's not happy about it) and unlike when she was forty she decided she didn't want a party and wanted to celebrate with our family in New Quay (Cei Newydd) West Wales, as I did three years ago.
Of course things didn't quite go to plan since Rags couldn't come with us (her baby could arrive at any moment). Instead our eldest, Harley, is able to bring her future husband
We really wanted to make Morticia's special day extra special. All of us put in together and got her a Cricut machine, something she's wanted for such a long time.
Sometimes less is more and she wanted to celebrate with family in a place she is most happy, as I did on my fiftieth. Rags was noticeably missed.
I hope she enjoyed the day and continues to enjoy the week here in the best place on the planet.
