I hope Morticia has a fab time!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she will 😁
DeleteGrew up in London . Still miss it having not lived there since I left for University in 1983 . Would go back in a heartbeat, and may well do so in the future
ReplyDeleteWouldn’t it be a dull world tho if we all liked the same things
Hope M has a great week
Siobhan
I don't mind a visit but it's not a favourite.
DeleteI hope Monica enjoys her time!
ReplyDelete*Morticia, its a nickname- I've always called her that. I'm betting she's having a brilliant time and not giving me a second thought. 😂
DeleteWhile the cat's away, the mouse will play.
ReplyDeleteIn this scenario, Morticia is the cat and you are the mouse. It is a bit like "Tom and Jerry" being suspended for a few days. Looking at Linda's comment above, is Monica your mistress? My guess is that she is a steel worker at Forgemasters with bulging biceps and a beer belly - "Cum'ere Kirt! Now!"
Your imagination is off the scale, and a bit scary. I never saw the episode of Tom and Jerry where Tom buggered off on a jolly and Jerry carried on with his "work". 😂😂😂
DeleteGotta be near the sea. I like to visit London because so many of the places have historical or literary connections. Just imagining.
ReplyDeleteSame, I'd love to live near the sea.
DeleteI'm not a huge fan of Big City life but living in the countryside wouldn't suit me either. (Which is why, I suppose, I live in a city not really counted as neither big nor small...)
ReplyDeleteThis kinda has a sad but cozy vibe, like you can really feel how empty the house feels without her even though it’s still busy. I also like the way it talks about missing the coast, it makes it feel really personal and real.
