It's my favourite time of year. The weather is warmer (although we still get plenty of rain), the days are long and I get to enjoy the greatest bike race in the world. July is a wonderful time of year.

It's taken some time to write up the last few weeks, I'll be going over that towards the end of this post. I've stated before that I want to be able to go out more and last month we managed to do just that (although it's left us a bit skint for the rest of the month).

Life at the moment feels like a juggling act, or as I've illustrated it in my drawing - and as anyone will tell you, men are no good at multi-tasking (because of course we like to do a job properly!). This is especially true at work at the moment.

My youngest daughter is 18 years old today. I've managed to deliver my two daughters to adulthood without killing them or them killing anyone else.

Last year I did a post about alcohol free beers. They've come a long way and there are more coming along all the time. I like the odd beer but sometimes it's not appropriate for me to drink alcohol, or sometimes alcohol just doesn't agree with me. Since then I've tried more examples of this emerging craft.

Every year since 1977 the grand specticle that is the World Snooker Championship rolls into my town. I love the snooker but not as much as Morticia does.

I haven't been to the pictures in quite a while. It's an activity I used to enjoy, I even had a Cineworld 'Unlimited' card (which meant I could visit the cinema as many times as I wanted for a fixed fee). I'd love to go more but I don't seem to have the time (the main reason I stopped having the card). A couple of weeks ago I went back to one of my favourite pastimes.

Christmas has come around so quickly this year, my head is still spinning from the last on. Isn't it time Christmas was like the Olympics? Then we'd have a few extra years to catch up.

1809.21 TRYING TO BE A HERO WITH A ZERO

Most know that I like a beer occasionally but most of the time I prefer to abstain. I find I have to be in a complete relaxed state to enjoy a glass of ale, a state I'm rarely in if I'm honest. However I do find myself in a pub occasionally and I might not be in a position it partake. I don't need a drink to enjoy myself but there is only so much carbonated soft drinks one can take.
