On Wednesday our Prime Minister Theresa May triggered Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty starting a two year countdown to the UK's exit from the European Union. Britain's ambassador to the EU, Sir Tim Barrow, hand-delivered a six page letter from Mrs May to EU Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels to formally begin proceedings.
Honestly, this event scares the crap out of me. With the world in such a delicate state I feel like this is such a dangerous move.

So why are we doing this? Because our cocky, ill informed leaders thought they'd give lip service to a referendum to win voters in the last general election and it all blew up in their faces... and we all have to deal with the fallout. It's all up in the air now and the next 2 years will be vital as the politicians try and hammer out trading deals for our survival.

It's like been stuck blindfold in the back of the van that's out of control and you know the driver bailed miles back and you're not sure if the passenger can even drive.

I hope that I'm proved wrong. I'll be happy if the 'Brexiteers' say to me "I told you so!". I'll be so glad if this actually works. But honestly, I'm not optimistic.
