This is probably the most difficult of seasonal messages I've had to deliver. The world in in the middle of a pandemic that that effected everyone in some way.
I deliver this message as I enjoy time with my family but my thoughts are with those who's season has been ruined by the changing landscape of Coronavirus.
What I’m Remembering…
The Covid 19 pandemic has dominated the year, whatever happens 2020 has been a difficult and tragic time that has ripped apart society as we have been forced to keep our distance.
What I’m Happy About…
The only thing keeping me going throughout is my family. I don't know what I'd do without my Morticia, my girls and my parents - even my in-laws! All have kept me together throughout this.
I am happy that my webcomic is having some success and as it stands has nearly 900 followers on Instagram with more looking in on Twitter, WebToon and Tapas.
What I’m Worried About…
Of course I worried about the pandemic. I'm worried about the worldwide recession that's coming in it's wake. I'm worried about the effects of Brexit which becomes real in just a few days.
What I’m Annoyed About…
The UK government response to the pandemic has been poor, confused, ill-informed and shabby. Boris is the worst prime minister in history and is clearly out of his depth.
What I’m Looking Forward To…
Normal life. I also have a milestone birthday coming up but that's in danger of been swallowed up.
What I’m Dreading…
Being 50. Brexit.
What I’m Loving...
I'm loving drawing and pyrography, my newest creative outlet. I'm also loving my new shed that I built in the early part of the year. Its my escape, my workshop, my studio and just a cool little spot to enjoy.
What We’ve Been Up To…
There's very little to do in lockdown but when the restrictions were eased we did manage a short trip to New Quay in Wales.
What We’re Planning…
It's difficult to plan but we are hoping to get away for my birthday next year.
What I’m Watching...
It's a great time for television with new Star Trek on at the moment. I've just finished season 2 of Star Wars's The Mandalorian which was epic. It's been a great year for bingeing after all there's bugger all else to do.
What I Need To Do…
I need to get through this difficult time. I need to help those that are struggling with this to get through. We all need to have each others backs.
I know that this Yuletide season isn't what most of us hoped for, this year so many have lost so much but let us take a moment to be thankful for something, anything, because we need to keep going and get through to the other side together. Let's raise a glass, goblet or horn of your favourite beverage....
