2206.21 SOLSTICE

Today it's midsummer, the solstice. The longest day.

I know few in the modern world understand the significance of the day. Some may think pagans dance naked on the heath or sacrifice small fluffy animals to the gods. Of course there's no single way or even obligation to mark the occassion. Personally I hope to take a bit of time out to contemplate, perhaps with a beer.

It was Fathers Day this Sunday and whilst we all went out for a night out on the Friday I pretty much haven't marked the occassion with anything. The girls got me cards and gifts but these days they have their own lives to lead, I know this is what happens when you get older. I've been expecting it.

I've been feeling a little run down recently, I'm tired, I'm fed up, I just want time out to have a bit of relaxation. Still, hopefully things will change soon. After all - it's summer!
