2311.27 WINTER POSTCARD

Everyone knows where I go every year. In fact I was there a couple of months ago. So it may surprise people to learn that we are back so soon.

This trip has been planned for ages but I decided to keep it quiet about it with some of my friends and family.

Now this isn't an ordinary trip, for one it isn't a holiday or anything like that. We came to celebrate a good friend's birthday party. Of course we relished the oportunity to be in our "happy place" too.

Both our girls were invited too but only the youngest could make the trip with us. We set off early on Friday morning and did the usual journey arriving just after 2pm. We were staying in the usual caravan site (although it was technically closed to visitors, an arrangement had been made for party guests from out of town).
The party was a joint 50th and 60th but because of the time of year was Christmas themed. We were treated to a Welsh folk band, Dafydd Pantrod a'i Fand, which I loved - I do love to hear the Welsh language even if my understanding is only level 3 Duolingo! We had a brilliant time and felt honoured to be invited.

We had recovery day before heading home today. I'm back at work tomorrow. it's also been a delight to see this place ready for the festive period, something I hope we will get to experience one day.

We will be returning, the plan is to be here for Morticia's 50th birthday next year.

I'll sign off by saying Penblwydd Hapus to Sam and Carwyn and Nadolig Llawen to all my Welsh friends.
