It's that time of year when I venture into the loft to get out the festive decorations. I know it's considered a little early but for the last few years we've been trimming up a little earlier.
If you knew me a few years ago you'd know that I used to get annoyed with the type of people that put up their decorations in November but of late my attitudes have changed. I've grown to realise that the whole of the Yule period is more than just one day as we are culturally led to believe. Yule is a season. It can start pretty much anytime after harvest/halloween if you want It too.
Our festive decorations are numerous and the task of trimming the house is a bit of an undertaking. It all starts with me risking my life getting the stuff out of the loft.
So all the decorations are up, next is a festive trip. And I'll tell you all about that in the next post.
