There's no way I could leave this anniversary without passing comment. On this day 75 years ago the greatest film ever made received it's World Premier in New York.
Now I've blathered on about this masterpiece many times and I'm not going to repeat it today. I watch Casablanca at least once a year and it still gives me goosebumps. I first watched this movie when I was 17 years old and a lifetime love affair started.
Things are manic at home and work at the minute so I'm not certain I'll get to see it over the next few days but next year it'll be 30 years since I first watched it so I'll factor in a special screening complete with popcorn and maybe a beer.
