Since New Year I've been floored by a virus that has kept me off work and, for the most part, in bed.
It started for me on New Year's Eve with a tickle in my throat. The next day I was downed.
I spent the next few days laid up. I don't have time off work often (my sickness record is pretty good) so when I call in sick it's a big deal.
Yesterday was my first day back, sponsored by 'Fisherman's Freind' (other menthol sweets are available.
