1704.01 EVIL TAKES A DAY OFF #03

Sometimes Evil is forced to take a number of days off when the law catches up with them. Welcome to issue 3 of "Evil Takes a Day Off". Can't believe how well received my work seems have been, this and my single panel "Rollo" cartoons have exceeded my expectations in regard to the comments I've received. Thank you all so much!

1703.31 ARTICLE 50 - SHIT JUST GOT REAL

On Wednesday our Prime Minister Theresa May triggered Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty starting a two year countdown to the UK's exit from the European Union. Britain's ambassador to the EU, Sir Tim Barrow, hand-delivered a six page letter from Mrs May to EU Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels to formally begin proceedings.

1703.29 A SINGLE MAN

Don't panic, Morticia hasn't left me, she is spending a few days in London with a friend so it's just Rags, me and the cat back home. Years ago this would have meant me taking loads of leave off work for childcare but now it's really just me and the cat. Rags is busy with her out of school activities and when she's home she's always in her room (as it should be). So I'm left living the single man life for a couple of days.

1703.21 NEW DENNIS - EVOLUTION OF A CARTOON

The second thing I learned to draw when I was a kid was from my favourite comic. From an early age my parents had copies of The Beano delivered to our house for me, later I also got The Dandy as well. The Dandy sadly ceased a number of years ago, The Beano however has managed to reinvent itself and is still going strong albeit as something very different to what used to land on my mat every week.

1703.22 PRAY FOR LONDON

Today a Police Officer went to work but didn't come home. 

Today visitors to our capital never returned. 

Today we stand against the cowards that try to stop and disrupt our way of life. 

Today we all stand together.

1703.18 BALLS OUT

I'm my opinion one of the most integral parts of a successful cycle commute is the availability of a shower at the other end. I've been on both sides of the spectrum with a previous employer which didn't provide a shower (baby wipes in the gents had to do) and my current one who does.

1703.13 AMERICANS DON'T HAVE KETTLES?

What's the first thing you do when you get up and come down stairs? When you walk in the house? I think I am in the majority when I say that I switch on the kettle. So imagine my surprise whilst reading the internet I came across a supposed fact that Americans don't have electric kettles. With globalisation and a shared history I've decided to look at a few other oddities our former colonists indulge in.
