So 2018 is gone. Disappearing into the distance as we move ahead with 2019, the final year of yet another decade. Was 2018 so bad (personally speakiing)?
As the dust settles and the hangovers start I look back and wonder what we will remember 2018 for. Perhaps the coldest winter followed by the hottest summer? Political turmoil, corruption and fake news? I'll remember it as the first year in ages that actually didn't seem that bad.
Last year I set myself some resolutions, nothing silly but I'm happy to say I achieved all three. The trick is to not set your goals too high (that way you avoid disappointment). If you'd like to check back on last year's post it's here.
So this year I'll set something similar...
- Continue with my cartooning and improve. Have my own Christmas Cards printed (can't believe I haven't done this yet).
- Cycle even more, get out more. I did better last year but the hot weather kept off the bike following a bad experience, started out well but it all fizzled out.
- Visit Wales more than once this year. After all it is my favourite place.
This year also holds something special, a special anniversary. This year Morticia and I will have been married for 20 years. A truly big deal.
Have a happy new year!
