I think I underestimated the effect getting a puppy would have on our household. Magnus has turned our lives upside down.
But this isn't necessaraly a bad thing. I think on lives needed turning upside down. What with the pandemic and then losing Angel, our cat, we needed change.
So, he's fully vaccinated (as we all are) and allowed out into the world, and the world is a scary place for a small dog. I'm trying to slowly get him used to urban life (although I don't think I've ever gotten used to it) with some short walks that take in some main roads. We are also trying to socialise him with humans and other dogs where possible.
After two visits he is getting on well with my Mum and Dad's dogs (two Shih Tzus), everyone loves him, including the post man!
Last Friday I was sent home early from work because I'd developed a nasty migraine from what I believe is exhaustion. My workload has increased recently following a so called minor reorganisation of area responsibilities. Leave is currently restricted and there doesn't seem to be light at the end of the tunnel. Don't get me wrong, I love my job but sometimes wonder just how much more I can take.
