1612.24 T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE...

So we made it here. The shopping is done and all the wrapping is complete. Now it's time to sit back, relax and maybe have a beer.

As we all breathe a sigh of relief I'd like to share a little Christmas miracle with you.

If you've followed my blog for a while then you might be aware of the strained relationship we've had with my eldest daughter,Harley. If not all you need to know is that she left home a year and a half ago (for the second time) and since then only seen her twice. Anyway, exactly two weeks ago tonight I received a text message from Harley asking if she could come and stay. Of course I said yes (she has always got a home with us) and asked if she needed picking up. She was happy to catch the bus over and within the hour was at our door. I was just preparing some food so I made it stretch as she was hungry. I'm not going to go into the situation that brought her to our door, that of course is her private business. Anyway she is here with us, I don't know for how long, but she's here for Christmas and that means our family is whole for this special day.

So tonight as not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse, I will smile as I drift off to sleep. For now my family is all together under my roof.

Good night all, I hope Father Christmas brings you all you wish for…

Listen.... are those sleigh bells I hear?
