1612.06 CRACK OUT THE CHRISTMAS MOVIES

We normally put up the tree and decorations on the first weekend in December. Unfortunately this year I was working so we've had to try and fit it in during the week. Yesterday I ventured into the loft to get the boxes of Christmas decorations.
Morticia decorates the main tree, the kids have always decorated the dining room tree (now that task falls to Rags alone). All the regular ornaments are stored away and replaced with Christmas ones.
Some pics I shared on my Snapchat
With the decorations comes the Christmas movies (which live in the loft 11 months of the year with the decorations). I know we have channels piping 24 hour cheesy movies but they aren't any substitute for the quality item. Here are a few of my favourites...

  • National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
  • Love Actually
  • Miracle on 34th Street (original version)
  • It's a Wonderful Life
The Christmas movies are unpacked
Yesterday we managed to get the tree and most of the decorations up. Today we need to re-gig the dining room and decorate in there. Not sure where I'm going to put my bikes yet (they live in the dining room). I might have to put them in storage over the Christmas period.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I've noted that most people seem to put up their decorations in November recently, I still think that's a bit early. So now I can declare that the festive season has officially started in our house.
