1710.16 THE LAST EVER PARENT-TEACHER EVENING

As a parent of older children, well an adult and a teenager, I've seen many of the parenting tasks end. Last Thursday I saw another one end.

I've always made sure I went to all of both my children's parents' evenings. I take the education of my children very seriously. Probably the reason I do this is because my parents didn't. I only remember them attending a couple in junior school.

So this was the last one. Next year my youngest daughter takes her GCSEs and then leaves school so it was probably one of the most important ones.

It was a good event and there is a definite plan to go ahead with. It's going to be a stressful time ahead but hopefully we are equipped with the tools we need to help her go forward.

Parenting is a journey and it's an ever changing landscape, I'm actually looking forward to the future and remembering with joy those days that have now gone.
