Back in 1999 I married my Morticia. The day was perfect and as you may expect was one of the greatest days of my life (and I don't say that lightly). An important part of our day was the venues. Our reception venue was chosen after an intense search for a suitable place.

I'm writing this to share how today, in 2017, I'm preparing an creating my blog posts. Ever since I got my first PDA many years ago (a Palm m100) I've been blogging from wherever I find myself. That is I use a device to make rough notes to expand on later.

1701.05 NEW GLASSES DAY

This happened just before Christmas but it was difficult for me to squeeze the post in. It's the most exciting thing for a glasses wearer.

Christmas is over for another year and as we all pack away the baubles and the tinsel it's time to assess the damage. In all probability we've overspent and still have to buy food to last until the next payday.

As year draws to a close many reflect on the events of the year. Some say that 2016 has been a really bad year and in many respects. Political upheaval, celebrity deaths as well as the usual war and terror. It's difficult not to say it's been a bad year. 

1612.28 MAY THE FORCE BE WITH HER

As I sit here trying to contemplate what to write I am still numb with shock at the passing of Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher. The world were hoping for her recovery following her suffering a heart attack on a flight from the UK as she travelled home for Christmas. I am truly gutted.

1612.25 THE CAPTAIN'S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

Well that's another year almost over, another year closer to the grave. So Christmas comes around once again and as always I find myself reflecting on the year behind me.
